About APAM and the Board of Directors
The objectives and purpose of the Accident Prevention Association Of Manitoba are:
a) To devise ways and means of improving accident prevention methods and education;
b) To function as a body from which accident prevention information may be disseminated;
c) To co-operate with other organizations in accident prevention and occupational health and safety.
Incorporated in 1961, it has become a focal point for the exchange of health and safety information.
Commerce, Industry, Government & individuals in the Province of Manitoba, who are interested in health and safety are eligible for full membership.
The Board of Directors consisting of the officers of the Association, directors of the committees and the immediate Past President shall manage the affairs of the Association.
The APAM has developed a 40 hour evening course for management, supervisors, joint health and safety committee members, labour representatives and those interested in learning more about accident prevention. Information on course details and course registration can be obtained from any member of the executive or you can call our office at (204) 275-3727 or email info@PreventAccidents.ca.
Our program committee arranges lectures, round table discussions, workshop sessions and tours for the education and instruction of our members.
Our members and associated members attend a dinner meeting the second Wednesday of every month except June, July and August. The meal expense is to be borne by the individual.
Membership fee is renewable annually and is due on the last day of January. All employees of a company that has a current membership may attend the monthly meetings free of charge.
