Occupational Health and Safety Course
APAM has developed a 40 hour evening course offered through Red River College Continuing Education department for management, supervisors, labour representatives, health and safety committee members, human resource students and others who are interested in learning more about Health and Safety.
This full credit course focuses on the responsibilities of employers, employees, joint health and safety committee members and government relating to occupational health and safety in the workplace. Topics that are covered include: unsafe acts/conditions, safety rules and guidelines, accident investigation, job hazard analysis, WHMIS, health and safety committees, job planning, industrial hygiene, ergonomics, the workplace health and safety act, inspections, lockout tag out and developing an occupational health and safety program. All materials are supplied by APAM for your convenience.
Monthly Meetings
APAM arranges for a monthly dinner meeting on the second Wednesday of every month except in June, July and August. Members and associates can attend these dinner meetings which features a variety of topics that are meant for the education and instruction of our members. Previous topics have included health hazards, personal protection equipment, disability management, ergonomics, job hazard assessments, hearing protection, and many others.
Dinner is at your own expense following the meeting.
Monthly Meeting Schedule
